A Queensland Ambulance Service paramedic is based at Happy Valley. There is no resident doctor. The island rangers do not administer first aid. There is a direct '000' phone on the wall outside the ambulance station at Happy Valley. Helicopter retrievals are organised via dialling '000', the emergency number.Mechanical Repairs
There is a mechanic and towing service based at Eurong (41279449). The Eastern beach is considered a main road and RACQ members can contact the association for help. Ultra care holders receive free towing off the Island. A taxi service is also available from Eurong (41279188).Supplies
